Product Labels for Inventory Scanning
Printer and Label Choices
Clixon barcodes (or labels) are designed to be Printed through label printers or on Avery label sheets through your every-day printer. These can be scanned with any mobile device or a designated Batch or Real-Time scanner to perform multiple tasks in Clixon.
Label Printers
- Printer options:
- The most common Printer we see is the DYMO LabelWriter 450 or 450 Turbo label printer.
- However, any label printer can be used.
- Label size MUST be a 1" x 2.125" label
- Printer Setting:
- Margins = None
If the Alias field for a product is populated, it will show on the label instead of the Name.
- The Alias is meant to be an alternative Name/Description, or the common name / short description used in your lab or office.
Avery Labels - Setting Default Printing Preferences
When printing on Avery labels there are a few things to know to print successfully.
- Avery Labels Sizes:
- First - the Label size MUST be a 1" x 2-5/8" label with 30 labels per sheet.
- Second - we recommend you search Avery's site to confirm the labels you select are compatible with your Printer Model or Type.
- You need to know your Printer Type: Inkjet or Laser or Laser/Inkjet
- Here are a few options:
- Avery 58160 (for Inkjet Printer)
- Avery 5160 (for Laser Printer)
Avery 18260 (for Laser/Inkjet Printer)
- Printer Settings:
- Paper Size = Letter
- Margins = None
