Mobile Device Scanning

Mobile Device Scanning

Use any mobile device to scan product barcode labels printed from Clixon

The following options are available after scanning a product label, printed from Clixon, with your mobile device:
  1. Issue from Stock
  2. Inventory Count
  3. Edit Product

Getting Started

  1. Begin by logging into your Clixon account just like you would from a PC:
    1. For an Apple device we do recommend using Safari as the web browser.
    2. Enter your Clixon credentials - User Name and Password
    3. Now click the gray button that reads Log in to Scan
      1. If you click the blue Log In button you will not be able to scan barcodes.
If you do not see the gray Log in to Scan button, that means the browser you are using is in Desktop Mode....every device is different so it is easiest to just look up "How to turn off Desktop Mode on an iPad (for example)".  From an Apple device, in the Safari browser, you should be able to mange this by clicking on the to AA icon in the top right of the Search bar.

Logging in to Scan

  1. You will see a screen like the first one listed below with a camera view and 3 options (or modes) listed at the top of the screen
    1. You may need to Allow Access to the Camera, make sure to choose Always Allow.
    2. If you are a User with Org. level access you will see a different page initially - all you will need to do is choose a Practice from the drop down on the screen.
  2. Once you scan a product label you can choose between the 3 different options, or modes, you see at the top of the screen.
    1. Issue from Stock (default selection when you log in to scan)
    2. Inventory Count
    3. Edit Product
  3. At anytime you can click on the 'hamburger icon' in the top left of your device to see a menu:
    1. Change Practice - if you have that option
    2. Scan
    3. Switch to either of the 2 pages, or modes , you are not currently on.......
      1. So if you are in Issue from Stock mode, when you view the left menu you will see Inventory Count and Edit Product as options.
    4. Sign Out
  4. How to create a Shortcut (like an App) on your mobile device

Issue from Stock

  1. In this mode you are telling the application how many you are taking from the Inventory space or "from stock".
    1. Press into the Container Qty. field, key in the Qty. you are taking, and then press the Issue button.
      1. If needed you can choose an Issue Department from the drop down or enter a Case Number before clicking the Issue button.
      2. If Tracking, for Lot#, Serial# or Expiration Date, is turned on for the item, you will be required to choose exactly which item you are taking from Inventory, from a drop down menu.
    2. Press the Scan Another button to scan your next item.
    3. From the Scan page you will remain in the "mode" you were last using.
      1. For example, if had last been on the "Issue from Stock" mode, that is the option that will be selected on the scan page.
      2. However you can change that with the toggles at the top of the page if needed.

Inventory Count

  1. In this mode you are simply entering the Qty. you have In Stock for the product you have scanned.
    1. Press into the Container Count field, key in the Qty. you have On Hand, and then press the Update Count button.
      1. If Tracking, for Lot#, Serial# or Expiration Date, is turned on for the item the system you will be required to enter the Qty. and specify the Lot#, Serial#, and/or Expiration Date associated with the items you have in your Inventory.
    2. Press the Scan Another button to scan your next item.
    3. Again, the system will keep you in the same "mode" so you will not need to reselect each time you go back to the Scan page.

Edit Product

  1. This mode gives you the chance to make a few Inventory specific profile updates or assignments.
    1. Units Per Container
      1. This will normally remain set to 1, however if you wish to Count and Issue by the container Unit, then you can do the following:
        1. Change the value to equal the Container Qty. of the product in question....so if there are 10 in a Box, change the 1 to a 10.
        2. REMEMBER - changing this fields value means you are counting or issuing by the Unit not the entire Container.
    2. Reorder Options (Par Levels)
      1. Choose either Target or Min/Max if you use Par levels to help with Reordering.
    3. Storage Locations
      1. If you have established 'Locations' back in the main application, they can be assigned or changed right here on this page.

  1. Simple sign into the normal Clixon application, go to Recommended and you can quickly and easily Review and Add product to a Cart.
  2. The Recommended page is designed to show the office what products they might need to Order.
    1. This page is built by using "Par Levels", or what we refer to as either Min/Max Quantities or a Target Qty., which are assigned to each product in the offices Catalog.
    2. The "Recommended" Order Qty. will already be populated for each item on the page.
      1. Click the green Add button on any item to add it to a new or existing "Open Cart".
      2. Or Add an entire page or 'selection of items' to a Cart in just 3 clicks.......
        1. Start by selecting the tick box at the top left of the item list, and then look for the "Batch Options" menu, and choose the Add to current Cart option.
        2. All of the selected items will be added to a new or existing Cart with the Recommended Order Qty.

Create an "App like" Shortcut for the Clixon Log in to Scan page

The home screen on your smartphone or tablet isn't just a place where your apps live. You can also add shortcuts to websites.
Here's how to create an "app" for any website on your device, allowing you to access shortcuts directly from your home screen.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Safari. Other browsers, such as Chrome, won't work for this.
  2. Navigate to the Clixon Log In page https://clixongroup.com/sign-in/website and Tap "go."
  3. Tap the Share iconat the bottom of the page.
  4. In the list of options that appear, scroll down until you see Add to Home Screen. Tap this. The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear.
  5. Choose a name for the website shortcut on your home screen, like: Clixon or Clixon - Log in to Scan
    1. You'll see the link so you can confirm the webpage, as well as the Clixon favicon (logo) which should appear as the "app" icon on your home screen.
  6. Click Add when you're done. Safari will close automatically and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone's or iPad's home screen.
  7. Now just tap the new "App" or shortcut on your home screen, and it will take you to the Clixon Log in to Scan page.

Android

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Navigate to the Clixon Log In page https://clixongroup.com/sign-in/website
  3. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to home screen.
  4. Choose a name for the website shortcut, then Chrome will add it to your home screen.
  5. Now just tap the new "App" or shortcut on your home screen, and it will take you to the Clixon Log in to Scan page.
Note: If you ever decide you want to remove the website shortcut, you can delete it just like you would any other app on your phone.
