Formulary Suggestions (alternatives)

If your Company Setting - Formulary Suggestions - is activated:

Then when you search for and find a Product outside of your groups approved Catalog (or Formulary) - and if you click the Request Product button:
  1. The system will generate a list of Formulary products that are already available to you to order without needing to Request approval.
  2. The product(s), on the Formulary Alternative list, will have the same Category and Sub-Category as the product you are trying to Request.
  3. Look through the list and if you see a formulary suggestion that works, simply click on it from the list.

After selecting an Alternative product – Clixon will then filter you to that product and you will either:
  1. Click the Add to My Catalog button and then adjust the Qty. and click the Add button to add the product to your Cart.
  2. Or if the alternative product is already in your My Catalog list, just adjust the Qty. and click the Add button to add it to your Cart.
Remember you do not have to Add a product you Request to a Cart, your manager will still be notified by email about your request.  You can add it to a future order / cart if it is approved.

If you do not find a Formulary Alternative product that works for you within the list:
  1. Then you can simply click the link that says Continue with my original selection, found at the bottom of the Formulary Alternatives popup window. 
A window will pop up asking "Why do you need this product?"
  1. Type in your Reason for needing the product in the box and click the green Proceed button.
  2. This is to help your Manager make a decision to Approve or Decline your Request.
  3. Now you will see the Qty. field for the Product you are Requesting and you can adjust the Qty. and Add to your Cart.
An email notification will be sent to your Manager letting them know you have a Product that needs to be approved.
  1. Once you Manager makes a decision you will be sent an email notifying you if it was Approved or Declined.
Keep in mind, you will not be able to Create Orders from your Cart until all pending Product Requests have been Approved or Declined.  If you cannot wait for you Manager to make the decision you can either Remove them from your Cart or just don't add the Requests in the first place.  The Products you Request will remain on the Products Pending Approval list for your Manger to see.
