Request Forms

Request Forms

Request Forms are a user-defined list of products designed to help users quickly request products they need or have used.  These products will then be Issued from Stock to reduce On Hand quantities, either by a managing user or automatically.
You can access Request Forms from the left menu in Clixon. There are specific Permissions that allow users to create and add products to request forms or simply access a request form to add products to their material requests.

Adding products to a Request Form

Products can be added to Request Forms from the following places:
  1. My Catalog, Open Carts, Outstanding Orders, or Product Requests
  2. From any of these pages simply select the products you want to add to a Request Form by ticking the Box(s) on the far left.
  3. A Batch Options menu will appear, from the drop-down select Add to Request Form.
  4. In the popup window that opens choose an existing Form and click Save to add the products.
If you need to create a new Request Form click the Add Request Form button at the top of the page:
  1. This will add a new Request Form row on the page, and you will want to give it a specific Name
  2. Press Save to add the selected products and create the new Request Form.
When you have a Request Form open you also have the ability to add a name or rename your form.
You can also manage who has Access to the Form, if you have permission to Manage Request Forms.

Accessing & Using Request Forms

  1. From the left menu select Request Form(s).
  2. This opens a list of existing Request forms, select the form you want to view.
  3. From the Request Form, enter the Qty. of any products you need to Request or Issue from Stock, and click the Add button.
  4. This will add the products to the Product Request page where they can be Issued from Stock.

Grant Access to Request forms

  1. If you have permission to Manage Request Forms you will have the option to:
    1. Create or Delete Forms, Add or Remove Products, and manage who has access to each Request Forms.
  2. The principle behind granting access is to limit access so that Users only see the Forms they need.
  3. If a User has the Material Requests Only permission checked that means the only thing they can do in Clixon is Request products.
    1. In addition, the permission Limit to Request Forms will appear if the Material Request Only permission is selected.
    2. This means the user can only use Request Forms to request products, they will not be able to Search through the entire company Catalog.
