To create a Recurring Order you start by adding the products you want to order from a specific Vendor to a new Cart.
Once all of the products for the Recurring Order are in your Cart simply click the Create Order(s) button from the Cart page.
If your User Permissions require you to Request Approval from the Cart page, you will need help from your Supervisor. Simply let them know you are creating a Recurring Order so that they can go in and Click the Create Order(s) button for you, BUT make sure they DO NOT move forward and Submit the new Order....you still need to follow the remaining steps to complete the Recurring Order creation process from the Outstanding Orders - Not Submitted page.
From the Outstanding Orders - Not Submitted page, which you will be sent to if you can Create Orders from a Cart, you will see your New Order.
Open the Order, but instead of Submitting it, look in the middle of the order page, just below the Order # and Order Name field and you will see a blue button that reads Make Recurring - click this button.
Now choose the Frequency from the drop down menu and the select the Start Date from the calendar.
You will also want to make sure the Order Method is set properly, i.e. Email, Online (for integrated vendors), or Phone if you call in the order....
Now click the green Save button in the top right of the page.
Once you Save your selections you will notice that the big green Order Productsbutton now also shows the "Start Date" you selected, it will read like this: Order Products on 29 Feb 2022
To finish the setup process click that green Order Productsbutton and it will either:
Submit the Order, if your Start Date is that days date.
Or it will send it to the Recurring Orders page, found in the left menu....either way going forward the Recurring Order will now be found on the Recurring Order page and show the Next Scheduled Date.
How Recurring Orders are Submitted
The Recurring Order will move to the Outstanding Orders - Not Submitted page based on the Frequency and Next Scheduled Date showing on the order.
These orders will have a Recurring Order label in orange font.
Again, on the Next Scheduled Date the system will send the Recurring Order to the Outstanding Orders - Not Submitted page where you will be able to review and Submit.
If you are creating the Recurring order for Orders such as Auto Shipments that are already scheduled to arrive from the Vendor - you will need to set the Order Method to be Phone. If you do not do this you may accidentally Submit an new Order to the Vendor.
