Manufacturers

Manufacturers listed within your Corporate or Company levels are either associated with Products you have added to a Catalog from one of our partner vendor catalogs, or they are a manufacturer that you created/added manually to assign to custom products you have added.  Manufacturers are who "produce" or "make" the products you buy.  Some also sell the products they produce, and if you buy directly from them, then they would also be set up as a 'Vendor' in Clixon, because Vendors are who you buy from in the application.

To locate the Manufacturers page go to:  Setup Information > Product Related > Manufacturers

Manufacturers

Each Manufacturer will be listed on this page.

1. To view or edit an existing Manufacturer simply click on one in the list to open the profile page.
   
2. This opens the Edit Manufacturer page, and the only field that exists is the Name of the Manufacturer.
   
3. If you make a change to the Name field remember to click the Save button.
   

Manufacturer - Creation

There are 2 ways to create a new Manufacturer:

1. Simply click the   + Create New   button found on the Manufacturer page.
   
2. Also, you can choose to click the Quick Create icon found in top menu bar + then choose Create Manufacturer.
   

Once you choose one of the two options the Create Manufacturer page will open:

1. To begin click on the Name field drop down menu and type the name of the Manufacturer you need in the search bar.
   
1. We have a list of over 5,000 Manufacturers to choose from.
2. If you find the one you need just click on it to select it, and then click the Save button.

If you do not see the Manufacturer you need in the list:

1. Simply type the correct Name in the search field and then click anywhere on the page to save it in the field
   
2. To finish and create the new Manufacturer click the Save button.

Manufacturer - Assigning to or Updating a Product

To assign a Manufacturer to a product go to the Product Profile or you can do a Mass Update from the "My Catalog" page.

1. Once you are on the product profile, simply look for the Manufacturer field and set or update it to what you want.
   
2. When creating a product you will simply choose from the list of available Manufacturers using the search field in the drop down menu.
   

Remember - If you do not see the Manufacturer you need, you will need to first Create it before you can assign it to a product.
